JEEZ LOUISE!!!! What a way to start the year at Marsh Creek. Who'd have ever thought that 24.15 lbs would take first place. Great job to the winners! All final places, yes including the General's lunker, will be posted later this week on the MCBC website. Thanks to all the Club members who helped put on such a great first event of the year!

Great tourney. Great weather. It was nice to have a keeper in the boat before 7:00am. We just couldn't keep the momentum. My cousin and I were next to the #2 guys. It was like watching TV. They were catching a fish every 5 - 15 minutes. No joke. Hope we gave you guys enough room. Is there a way that the pictures of the top 4 can be emailed to me, or posted on this site? Thanks, Paul

Paul,
Some nice pictures of the fish you and your partner caught. I did not hear any complaints about you guys crowding the Team that took 2nd place. All pictures of this tournament, including the winners bag and the lunker, will be posted on our website later this week. It's better we put them on the website versus the message board. Thanks for fishing our early bird open and we hope to see you and your partner at the Picnic Open in June. Some pic's will be on the Open Tournament results and the others will be on the Club Photo section. Check them out!

Like watching TV! I like that, thanks Paul. My partner and I were definitely in the right spot at the right time throwing the right bait. Could have happened to anybody really, but I am glad it was us! I actually wish we would have been on the other side of the creek channel (where 1st place bag came from), but it does feel nice to find some during pre-fishing and have them stay pretty close to the same spot on tournament day. I will be working on getting the results and pictures posted on the website as soon as I can. The picture of the 1st place bag just doesn't do it any justice; it was definitely more impressive in person. To answer your question, you didn't crowd us at all!

I never did get a picture of the 4th place team of Searing and Searing. If anybody out there has a picture of them, please email it to me so that I can post it on the website.
Thanks

G-Man, Thanks for posting the pictures of the CCBM guys...
The only problem is our fish look tiny compared to the giant bags everyone got... ;D
Great Job MCBC guys on a great tournament and your 2nd 3rd and lunker award...

Yeah, Thanks! I have Bass envy.
Here is something to think about, 217 lbs of fish with 72 fish weighed in. That is a 3 lb average per fish. We are certianly blessed to have a great fishery in our own back yard.
I also heard a few anglers that caught single fish that didn't weigh them in. I agree in a competative enviroment that it is not worth weighing in a single/few fish, but it is worth it to get a census of the amount and average weight of fish. Something to think about.

No problem Seb. I had quite a few pic's that didn't turn out and since yours did, I figured I would use them. Hope you don't mind.
Paul, I agree, there were quite a few boats that ended coming in with 1 or 2 fish that didn't even bother to weigh in. Sure would have been nice to see the exact total of keeper fish caught on Saturday!
A 3lb average, is awesome!! I have only been fishing Marsh Creek for the last 8 years and I can remember when it only took one good fish to get you in the money! Now if you don't come in with a limit of good fish you might as well forget about winning anything! I would expect it is going to take at least a 3lb average to be in the money in your Tuesday Night Opens as well this year.

G-man, I don't mind at all you using any of our pictures, your welcome to anytime..
Yea I would have to agree it will take a 3 pound average to place in the money and probably a 10+ bag/3 fish to consider winning... This is my second year fishing MC since I just moved to the area a few years ago, but have to say it is probably one of the best lakes I have ever fished.. I know from people telling me that this lake wasn't always like this but I am not complaining and am thankful that I can fish it while it is so hot....
I can't wait till the Tuesday Night Tourny's start . I look foward to the stiff competetion from the MCBC guys and all the great fisherman and women that fish it.... Should be a great year...

Larry,
Don't worry about the hat, remember it has a velcro adjustment! ;D What did I tell you about me doing well last year, "make a big purchase before a tournament, win money in the tournament" well..... guess what happened Saturday!!!! Anybody want to sell me anything before next tournament?
Oh, and thanks about the site! I hope everyone likes the looks of it!
